The census is a survey the government conducts that counts the population of the U.S. The census gives the federal government necessary information regarding how much money the state of Michigan should be getting for the next 10 years, along with how many representatives we should have in congress. The federal funds go to Medicaid, Food stamps, free school lunches, infrastructure needs, and other vital programs in the state. In order for Michigan citizens to be happy and healthy, it is dire for all residents to fill out the census, regardless of citizenship.
